RUCHI collaborates with CBO and other educational institutions in executing IVS and humanitarian projects.
The school wants the volunteers to add value to the teaching and improve on the pronunciation and grammar. The idea is to make education interesting and fruitful to children in age group 6-11 and prepare and encourage them to improve on their English for a better future.Volunteers can impart information and educate children on various issues like Teenage life, adulthood, puberty, drug abuse, Violence, vices, social media, freedom of speech and expression, student life, career guidance, social norms like Living Alone, Relationships, Independence, social life, fashion trends, personality development, communication skills, talent and creative interests. Volunteers can teach different games and play international games like Volleyball, Table Tennis and Badminton and other sports which are prominent in different countries. Also, volunteers will get an opportunity to learn traditional Indian games like Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Cricket, Lagorcha, Langdi and others.
This will be simple and shared in the school/village with common toilets. Volunteers are advised to bring their own bed sheet and sleeping bags for hygienic reasons. Food offered will be simple authentic Indian vegetarian and freshly cooked. Three meals a day will be served. Assistance while cooking is desired of volunteers. Volunteers are free to cook meals of their country choice on every Sunday.
In the interior rural areas, education of children in expensive private schools is unaffordable by local communities. Consequently, they send their children to government schools. However, the attitudes of teachers there is a little indifferent and not very pro-active. To meet peopleaeuros demand for better education some committed teachers have started less expensive private schools in rural areas. Baddi slums and Bogdhar village have one such school in each community. The school enrolls children from economically poor families from the slums or rural areas. The focus of education here is on social aspects. During leisure time, the volunteers may like to visit Chandigarh for its Rock Garden, Shimla town (once the summer capital of British Army) or Renuka Lake. Trekkers can decide to climb the nearby Churdhar peak (12,400 ft).
Interest in introducing creativity in education and develop children as good human beings
